We are both commercial fishermen and experts on Alaska, as Ole was born and raised in Ketchikan Alaska, and LaDonna has lived there for over 30 years. We have been fishing for over 40 and 30 years respectively, and we know the ins and outs of the Alaskan waters and wildlife. Ole is also a well-known photographer, with work in galleries and many national magazines and other publications. Together, we have published seven cookbooks and two children’s books, featuring our favorite recipes and stories from our travels. We also love to explore other places in Alaska and around the world, and we have learned how to pack efficiently and effectively for different climates, cultures, and activities.
